Intellio™ pioneers intelligent camera and system management at Security Essen 2006
VideoCast Ltd., developer and manufacturer of the Intellio™ line of intelligent cameras and camera management system launched the first fully operational intelligent network camera system on the video surveillance market at the Security Essen 2006 exhibition between October 10-13th. Over two years in development, the Intellio Distributed Intelligence Camera Network™, the only complete IP-based video surveillance solution based exclusively on intelligent cameras, was first introduced to international security integrators, distributors and end-users with a roaring success.
Current trends in the network camera market clearly show the way towards video analytics. The Intellio system is the perfect answer to this. Intellio™ cameras are equipped with a wide range of on-board intelligent functions, such as detection of movement direction, perimeter control, abandoned object monitoring etc., which are designed and built exclusively into a high-resolution (megapixel) camera. The Intellio™ system management software was designed especially for large video surveillance networks, such as traffic, logistics or multi-site property management: each network system server is able to manage 128 intelligent cameras, dynamic load distribution between servers and automatic redundancy management without extra hardware are just a few features of Intellio’s™ pioneering solution. The Intellio system allows more cameras, more analytics to be integrated into a simpler network structure.
Intellio™ cameras and systems will be widely available on the German and international markets through selected integrators and distributors over the coming months.
