Hungary's leading interactive marketers merge to form Arcus Interactive

Budapest, October 19, 2005 (MTI-ECONEWS) – Hungary's two biggest interactive and online marketing companies, Mirai Interactive and red-stars, will merge through creating a new holding company: Arcus Interactive Group, business daily Napi Gazdasag reported on Wednesday.

Primus Capital Partners, a venture capital company will own 25pc of the new company through contributing its stake in Mirai Interactive, executive director of Hotaka Consulting, the fund manager of Primus, and Arcus board member Zoltan Bruckner told Napi Gazdasag.

By forming the new company as a holding, its owners aim to expand by making acquisitions, Arcus president and deputy CEO Zoltan Szenasi who is also red-stars CEO, said.

Arcus expects revenue of about HUF 500m-600m this year, with pre-tax profits coming to 10-15pc of this. Next year Arcus aims to generate 30-40pc more revenue, because of the merger.

The clients of the two companies creating Arcus include British American Tobacco, IKEA, Magyar Telekom, McDonald's, OTP Bank group and Procter and Gamble.
